Imagination

Breaking through the symbolic definitions and rigid boundaries of the adult world, Imagination uses geometric shapes to address the most playful physical and visual experiences of children, creating a place where children's imaginations can run wild.

The elephant art project “Zhengzhou Modoci Super Paradise” is a brand new creative presentation, bringing a carefree and beautiful world to children. This is not only the original intention of the owner to convey the beautiful value, but also a new idea from the design level.

What is the formula for breaking through symbolization?

In reality, every “thing” has its own unique symbol, for example, when talking about pigs, horses, cows and sheep, their real appearance will always come to mind. If the symbols are detached from reality and remodeled, what would they look like? The space for imagination here is infinite.

Reinventing the face and giving full play to the imagination, [40% Memphis deconstruction + 40% contradictory space + 20% animal themed installation] is the formula to break through the symbolization of this project. Using abstraction, inversion, scaling, reorganization, stacking and other design techniques, the elements of life, nature and animals are transformed into spatial and visual design language, and colors and materials are richly combined.

Rebel against the traditional design of Memphis with a large number of geometric patterns, circles, squares, triangles and their combinations of deformations to create exaggerated shapes that bring a novel atmosphere to the space.

Contradictory space breaks the rules of perspective and integrates the characteristics of multiple perspectives. By combining different spatial relationships in a chaotic way, it creates a visual effect that defies common sense to confuse the audience, stimulate thinking and reveal unique creativity.

Where does imagination come in?

The animal theme installation takes imagination as the starting point, and uses different design techniques to transform the elements of animals and plants into Modoki's unique design language, and then combines them with dynamic installation art to present them in the space.

Incorporating numerous animal and plant monomorphic shapes into the space, it breaks through the traditional constraints, crosses the boundaries of species and functions, and endows the space with more visual imaginations with unique design ideas.

Taking the service desk as an example, “Zhengzhou Modoci Superland” has two service desks. The main service desk combines a gramophone with a frog, as if the frog is singing a moving welcome song loudly.

The small service desk, on the other hand, functions more as a role-playing and life-experience scenario for children, combining a Polaroid with a dog in a design, with rotating eyeballs and interactive machinery to attract children to explore.

Follow the changing colors of the space

In the color planning of the whole space, gradient warm colors as the dominant color. Warm colors can create a warm, energetic and affinity atmosphere, with the gradual change of colors, the atmosphere will be more layered and dynamic.

Purple is embellished as a jumping color in this space. The mystery and nobility of purple contrasts sharply with the warmth and vitality of warm colors, adding a unique and stunning color highlights to the space, making it visually richer and more vivid, and also attracting the children's attention and stimulating their infinite reverie for this space.

Development

“Covering an area of 6,000+ square meters, Zhengzhou Modoci Superland has a 3-story play space layout, which covers a variety of functions such as naughty castles, life experience, role-playing, digital sports, and food and beverage, to satisfy the needs of parent-child families for fun, education, and social interaction.

Stage

The atrium uses a picket design, which greatly enhances the sense of space inside the entire building by removing the middle floor and creating a space that is permeable from top to bottom. This sense of permeability is able to break the sense of constriction brought about by the traditional floor plan layout, so that children can feel an open view on different floors.

In the overall layout of a building, the elevated atrium often becomes the visual focal point and attracts children's attention, so setting the stage in the atrium location can quickly gather the crowd and enhance the vitality of the space.

The screen of the stage breaks the limitation of the traditional flat screen and uses a curved screen design, which increases the aesthetics of the screen and provides a wider range of vision, allowing the audience to feel a more immersive visual effect.

The giant bear next to the stage is constructed by splicing geometric elements, the giant size brings strong visual impact, both abstract beauty and modern art flavor.

Sand Pool

The sand pool is dominated by round elements, in which the enlarged giant donut shape is eye-catching, the rounded curve of the donut and the sand pool are fused to create a fantastic visual effect, but also provide children with a fun and imaginative play space.

The children's bowling area uses cut-out walls to make the space permeable and increase interactivity, with the exterior peeking into the interior program.

The geometric elements of the children's basketball area are arranged to bring a sense of visual order, and the rhythmic patterns inspire movement.

Inception Space

The design of Inception Space spans across floors, the landscape point takes the cactus that can dive as the source of imagination, the slide is an elephant trunk, the out-of-the-box design is a marvelous fusion of different elements, and the collision of the desert and the ocean elements.

The weird and wacky features and the imaginative design make children feel like they are in a dream world. Everywhere can bring visual impact to children, stimulate their imagination, so that children in this space to enjoy the fun, wantonly explore, feel the distinctive play experience.

 Role Play

The Dressing House is equipped with a dressing table and a display cabinet. The dresser includes a stool and mirror in child-friendly sizes and heights, a mirror for the child's scrutiny, and a stool to ensure a comfortable seating position for dressing up.

The display cabinets are used to organize accessories and are laid out in a way that makes it easy for the child to view and select them. The overall design aims to provide a space for free play without too much decoration or guidance, giving children the maximum space for independent creation, allowing them to engage in role-playing to their heart's content, selecting accessories and dressing up according to their own ideas, releasing their imagination and experiencing different roles in this space.

In the design of an automotive repair facility, the wrench is enlarged as the iconic repair tool and becomes the visual focal point. It is like a silent logo, visually indicating the core business of auto repair. At the same time, the wrench element, by virtue of its functionality, gives the space a clear sense of theme, making it distinctive and easy to understand.

In the spatial design of the animal clinic, the operating table, consultation table and other functional sections are divided according to their functions. Abstracted leopard print elements are used for the wall decoration. This design idea is not only to get rid of the straightforwardness of traditional animal elements, but also to subtly imply the connection between the clinic and the animals, thus creating a professional and interesting atmosphere for the space.

In the functional division of life experience, two spaces, the supermarket and the animal farm, are set up. The supermarket provides children with a simulation experience of daily shopping, while the animal farm brings the fun of getting close to nature and animals.

Exploring the cave to the ant wormhole as the imagination, ant wormhole is a mysterious and unknown underground world, intricate channel network like a labyrinth, can let the explorer experience as ants in the underground shuttle wonderful feeling, feel the nature of the microcosmic world of the magical structure, full of novelty and challenge.

The climbing area is made up of large geometric elements, which is visually simple, modern and spatially clean. The clean environment allows climbers to focus and minimizes distractions, while the unique design is both functional and aesthetically pleasing.

Parent-child restaurant

The parent-child restaurant combines dining and baking instruction. The space is colored in gradient yellow, creating a warm and cheerful atmosphere. The ceiling is illuminated by a strip light box arrangement, providing even and soft light.

The design of the bathroom takes the small garden as the space imagination. The use of geometric circles and thick lines as decorative elements, the combination of geometric shapes splicing, thick lines outlined to emphasize, so that the space presents a simple and bright modern style.
