Designing a 13,000-square-meter family entertainment hub brings a major operational challenge: keeping crowds engaged while making every corner feel packed with discovery. For MOROM Themed Indoor Playground, our premium new project built in Wuhan, China, we threw out the traditional play center playbook entirely. Instead of standard, repetitive equipment, this mega themed indoor playground focuses on large-scale architectural storytelling, shifting the benchmark for what a commercial indoor amusement park can achieve.

Located in the bustling economic hub of Wuhan, MOROM has quickly transformed into the region’s ultimate flagship family destination. Behind this successful launch is ESAC Design (ESAC)'s decades of expertise as a turnkey amusement park company capable of turning ambitious artistic visions into highly functional commercial spaces.
The mega themed amusement park was conceived right from the start as an entire kingdom of fairy-tale wonder and surprise. Instead of creating yet another impersonal and uninspired entertainment center, we have worked hard to craft a wonderland dedicated to the sheer pleasure of exploration for kids of all ages. With several levels of the facility capable of accommodating thousands of young explorers each day, the place is not only commercially valuable but emotionally priceless as well.
For the Wuhan landmark, ESAC acted as the specialized amusement park designer and partnered closely with the Modoqi brand team to bring this massive vision to life. Navigating a 13,000㎡ footprint requires deep cooperation in structural integration, equipment manufacturing, and thematic consistency. Our engineering and creative teams worked in perfect harmony with the client, ensuring that the grand aesthetic goals aligned flawlessly with local building codes, fire regulations, and heavy-duty operational requirements.
The design for MOROM centers around the core concept of "Everyday Adventures." The ESAC creative team took familiar, everyday objects that children interact with daily and completely reimagined them on a giant scale. Walking through the venue feels like stepping into a sprawling fantasy world, allowing children to explore oversized landscapes while discovering the beauty and fun of daily life. By blending these imaginative themes with meticulous manufacturing, we have elevated the benchmark of what operators can achieve with a modern indoor amusement park.
The verticality of MOROM is its greatest asset. Unlike typical amusement parks that scatter rides across a single floor, this theme park utilizes an innovative multi-level structure, allowing visitors to experience ever-changing atmospheres and sub-themes as they ascend.
Starting from the main entrance and service area on the first floor, visitors ascend to the second floor, which emphasizes interactive and active role-playing experiences. The next stop is level 3, where hands-on learning opportunities and sports simulations are available.
The architectural highlight of the space is the impressive 15-meter open atrium. From the moment visitors enter the premises, they are instantly greeted with a panoramic vertical view that transcends the restrictions of physical space in regular children’s playgrounds. This architectural feature accomplishes two very important goals:
Building a successful mega kids' indoor playground requires a strategic mix of interactive play zones and visually striking focal points. At MOROM, ESAC integrated custom-engineered art installations that serve as both beautiful centerpieces and fully functional play areas. Rather than purchasing standard, mass-produced equipment, we developed tailored thematic structures that encourage children to move, touch, and imagine.
To create an unforgettable visual impact, the venue integrates spectacular signature landmarks throughout the play pathways:
Managing a massive footprint requires a strict understanding of spatial dynamics and child behavior habits. ESAC’s design team utilized advanced crowd-flow simulations to identify potential bottlenecks before construction even began. By matching specific attractions to the psychological and physical needs of different age groups across three distinct floors, our role as an experienced amusement park company allowed us to guarantee a smooth, fluid movement of guests even during peak weekend rushes.
To keep visitors engaged throughout their stay, our engineering and design teams divided the mega space into three distinct operational environments:
Instead of separating attractions with cold, rigid barriers, ESAC designed organic transition zones based on magnified daily elements. By blending these large-scale artistic focal points directly into the physical flow of the building, moving between attractions becomes a game in itself.
Integrating familiar objects like oversized boots, giant hourglasses, and massive soap bottles allows us to merge high play value with structural utility. These transition spaces encourage children to crawl, climb, and choose their own pathways through the park. This immersive kids' structural design means that movement is never just a walk from point A to point B; instead, the physical layout continuously rewards a child's natural desire to explore.
Our engineering team faced a massive task right at the start: removing the existing floor slabs and reinforcing the core framework. Leveraging years of on-site experience, we completed the entire demolition and horizontal beam reinforcement in just 15 days.
Safety remained our absolute priority throughout this rapid construction phase. To ensure complete structural stability, we added custom heavy-duty steel reinforcement to every load-bearing element on the floor, including the main staircases, the giant boot apparatus, and the stage grandstands.
Indoor air quality and chemical safety are primary concerns for modern parents and venue operators. ESAC enforces a strict zero-compromise material selection policy:
A great design can fail if the execution is rushed. ESAC’s on-site construction teams pay meticulous attention to the smallest protective details:
The success of MOROM proves that massive square footage is only valuable if it is planned efficiently. Successful design means balancing high-energy play zones with crucial support spaces. By placing essential services like the reception desks and shoe-changing areas strictly on the first floor, ESAC cleared the upper levels for pure, uninterrupted play, making the guest journey effortless from the moment they step through the door.
From an investor's perspective, a park must be easy to maintain and highly durable. ESAC addresses this by selecting low-maintenance, industrial-grade materials from the source and executing rapid, high-precision engineering on site. The turnaround for core structural reinforcement proves that commercial projects can be delivered ahead of schedule without sacrificing long-term durability, minimizing overhead costs before opening day.
Attracting a wide audience means achieving a proper combination of highly intense activity and educational processes. Rather than developing a one-dimensional area, we have categorized the activities depending on their nature. Toddlers require slow tactile activities; school-aged kids will enjoy interactive socializing; older children should be provided with challenging activities.
Such an approach ensures that different families, which have children of different age groups, can come together at once without any age-related interference. Since all age groups feel equally appreciated and entertained, the attraction creates higher customer satisfaction. It helps us ensure the higher stay of families within our themed amusement park, which leads to higher in-park revenue and repeat visits from our customers.
Executing a project on the scale of MOROM demands flawless execution. Drawing from deep roots in turnkey play solutions, ESAC Design has refined a comprehensive delivery model that eliminates risk for international investors, commercial developers, and entertainment brands looking for a top-tier indoor amusement park solutions provider.
Our team manages the entire lifecycle—moving efficiently from initial discovery and custom layout design, straight into precision fabrication within our own manufacturing facilities, and finally to professional on-site installation. Every facility is handed over as a fully operational, high-revenue commercial asset built to internationally recognized safety standards.
By controlling this entire pipeline in-house, ESAC Design guarantees that the finished venue matches the approved 3D renders with absolute precision. For global developers seeking a world-class amusement park company that understands how to minimize risk and maximize lifetime value, we remain the partner of choice.
