Since 2010, the “Talking Tom Cat” handheld game has taken the world by storm in a fun way. Since then, its figure has expanded from handheld games to the field of animation, and then to the world of education and derivatives, and Tom Cat and its companions have gradually integrated into children's lives.

As the first domestic children's theme park with international first-tier IP, Tom Cat Parent-child Paradise is a one-stop, diversified parent-child panoramic indoor paradise created by A-share listed company Zhejiang Jinke Tom Cat Culture Industry Co. Ltd, a company listed on the A-share market, takes its well-known international IP “Talking Tom Cat Family” as the core, and creates an integrated and diversified parent-child panoramic indoor paradise with the mission of “creating family happiness”.

In 2018, Tom Cat Family Park took the lead in Hefei and Shaoxing to light up the door of dreams. In 2019, the first Tom Cat Parent-Child Paradise in Hangzhou, a service project of Elephant Sculpture Art Co,.(ESAC), was grandly opened and topped the popular list of children's parks in West Lake District in only three days.

Until this year, Tom Cat ParentChild Paradise has 25 stores nationwide, of which Elephant Sculpture Art Company(ESAC) has served Hangzhou, Anhui, Xinjiang, Guangdong and the latest Shanghai. Six years have passed by in a hurry. The longtime friend of Elephant Sculpture Art Company(ESAC), Jinke Culture (Party A), put forward the demand for “differentiation” in the Shanghai project.

As a long-term strategic partner of the Tom Cat family park, we have to break through the traditional Tom Cat themed children's playground established model, to make differentiation in the competing amusement park industry, to increase recognition and memory points. And can not be detached from the background story of the Tom Cat family, to make an immersive atmosphere, theme scenes, color management. 

To serve the business with design and to balance the business needs with the beauty of design, therefore, in the project of “Shanghai Tom Cat Family Fun Park”, the designers of ESAC take the subtle creation of immersive atmosphere as the guide, borrows the theme scene as the basis, uses color management as the embellishment, relies on the reasonable planning of the customer's moving line as the pulse, and uses the ingenious design of the rich and diversified gameplay as the driving force to fully create a subversive design of the Tom Cat theme amusement park 4.0 version.

In the design of 『Shanghai Tom Cat Family Playground』, the ESAC designers used the space theme of TOM & Noah's Ark, together with the future port concept to create a space level, the extreme use of space height, built a four-storey staggered, deconstructing the rich play at the same time as the maximum three-dimensional space level.

This play space creation is inspired by the core concept of “Thematic Storytelling”. Adhering to the principle of “story first”, we carefully carried out the scenario design, injected the soul of the theme into the space, and transformed it into a highly contagious visual communication element. Among them, the rich and abstract formal design becomes the most eye-catching visual core of this case, aiming to touch the audience's heart with unique aesthetic expression.

Given that play and fantasy are in the nature of children, the design and planning of this amusement park project are based on the perspective of children from the beginning to the end, aiming to bring a world full of fantasy and beauty into the real life of children.

The main story line is set

Tom Cat and his friends in the world of environmental pollution is extremely serious, their homes are getting worse and worse, it is difficult to maintain a normal life, the search for a new place to live is imminent. Against this backdrop, the Tom Cat Rescue Program was born, and Tom Cat and his pals were lucky enough to be the first immigrants to board Noah's Ark.

Their journey begins in the future port of London, and from then on, a whole new life unfolds on the ark. They learn how to survive in the space environment and labor skills, and do their best to maintain the safety and stable operation of the ark.

At the same time, they work together to open the depth of the exploration of outer space, enjoy the endless wonders of the interstellar universe and deep mystery, in the vastness of the starry sky to continue to write their legendary story, for the children to build a dream paradise full of imagination and hope.

AestheticsbubblesIn terms of visual design, we utilize a unique magic formula to carefully sculpt a scene full of futuristic science fiction. With the creative exploration concept of advocating freedom and breaking away from the conventional, we take the lead in establishing the unique self-tone of the play space.

ESAC designers through the integration of misplaced and repeated patterns and metallic gray materials, we delicately present the unique spatial style of the future British port, creating a unique spatial atmosphere with a sense of science and technology and the future, but without losing the classical British flavor and modern fashion, making the whole space visually more layered, three-dimensional and unique artistic charm.

Through abstraction, inversion of conventional forms, scaling of elements, reorganization of structural layout and stacking of various forms and other innovative methods, the elements of life, nature, science fiction vision of the future and the classic elements of the TOM Cat are precisely transformed into a professional design language for spatial construction and visual presentation.

At the same time, the design strategy of integrating colors and materials in a diversified and in-depth manner, so that the two complement each other, together shaping a spatial environment with great visual impact and artistic infectivity, bringing a unique visual feast for parents and children, which is deeply in line with the family fun park project's overall creative vision and the pursuit of high-end quality.

Warm colors are used for the overall color scheme, and contrasting colors are cleverly incorporated, while a rich variety of geometric shapes are use.

In the planning and layout of spatial functions of this indoor family entertainment center, diversified and rich functional places such as stage, video games, naughty castles, trampolines, aerial trains, block rooms, AR paintings, mini-supermarkets, dress-up houses, and mother and child rooms have been set up.
