Why Indoor Amusement Parks Are Essential for Integrated Resorts?

Projects like Meet Shanhai exemplify how indoor amusement park design elevates traditional resorts. By integrating attractions like the L2 gaming zone, guests enjoy seamless, weather-proof entertainment. This approach caters to all ages, including seniors, children, and weather-sensitive guests, ensuring consistent comfort through controlled environments.

At the level of all-age service planning, it is not affected by bad weather and seasonal changes, and provides a stable environment for visitors to play no matter what time of the year it is. How should a play center be integrated into a vacation complex? ESAC Partners with Meet Mountain and Sea to Continue the Myth and Create Happiness

Collaborating with Meet Shanhai, Elephant Sculpture Art Company (ESAC) drew inspiration from "Shanhai Jing" (Classic of Mountains and Seas) to create mythical realms. ESAC’s design team developed the adorable "Pi Xiao Pang" IP (based on the mythical Pixiu) and infused spaces with legendary motifs.

In the 4000 square meters of the venue, four themed spaces were created, using the design technique of “one space, one myth” to echo the brand, enhance the sense of spatial theme, perpetuate the myth, and convey happiness.

Gift Reception Area

The design of the gift reception area is inspired by the “Classic of Mountains and Seas” and “The Great Desert South Classic”, which is a beautiful image of an ideal country. “The people of Wushu have the name of Pan, eat grain, do not perform, do not have the scripture, clothing; do not crop, do not harvest, food, I have the bird of song and dance, luan bird sings, phoenix bird dances. I have a hundred beasts that live together. I have a hundred beasts that live together.

The meaning of the original text is: The Wuzai People (an ancient tribe) subsist on grains. Remarkably, they wear garments without the labor of spinning or weaving, and their sustenance comes without toiling in fields or harvesting crops. In their lands dwell divine birds of song and dance: the Luan birds sing of their own accord, while the Phoenixes dance in spontaneous grace. Here all creatures coexist harmoniously, and every manner of grain flourishes in abundance.

In order to express this beautiful country, ESAC's designers used elements such as the luan bird totem and the sun to create an environment of “luan and phoenix in harmony”, creating a friendly and accepting spatial atmosphere.

Digital Sports Zone

The trendy Digital Sports Zone incorporates the myth of the God of Thunder. In the Classic of Mountains and Seas and the Eastern Classic of the Sea, it is written: “There is the God of Thunder in the Thunder River, with a dragon body and a human head, and when he drums up his belly, there is thunder.” This is the early image of the God of Thunder, which was half-human and half-animal, and it was believed that the sound of thunder was in the sky, and that dragons also flew in the sky, and that by combining the two, thunderstorms could be expected.

Arcade Game Center 

The Arcade Game Center area combines the battle of Zhuo Lu in Shan Hai Jing, “Chi You made soldiers to attack the Yellow Emperor, the Yellow Emperor was making Ying Long attack the Jizhou wild. Should the dragon animal water, Chi You please the wind and the rain division, longitudinal big storm. Huangdi is under the sky female said drought, rain stops, so kill Chi You. The original meaning is: Chi You made weapons to attack the Yellow Emperor, who then ordered Ying Long to meet him in the wilderness of Jizhou. Yinglong accumulated a large amount of water, ready to flood the Chi You army, while Chi You invited the wind uncle and rain master, blowing a gale and rainstorms. The Yellow Emperor then sent down a celestial maiden named Drought, stopped the wind and rain, and eventually killed Chi You . However, Drought couldn't return to the sky, and it never rained again where she lived.

In the design of the entertainmenr arcade center, elements such as mythological labels, beast patterns and streams of light are used to create an orderly stacked space-time where modernity and antiquity collide.

Children's Playground

The Children's Playground  Area is inspired by the “Classic of Mountains and Seas”, incorporating fantastical descriptions of the Dan Cave Mountain, the Little People's Kingdom, the Penglai Immortal Island and the Fusang Tree, and using elements such as mountains, smoke, phoenix wings, ocean waves, manta rays, and auspicious clouds, it has constructed a dream-like, endlessly imaginative world of fun for the children.

In order to give the kids' playground more dynamic life, the design team also carefully created a series of naive spirit animals.

Modeled after the Dan Cave Mountain, which is rich in metallic minerals and jade, the cave exploration game is designed to blend the winding curves of the caves with the mysterious treasures of Dan Cave Mountain to create a unique play experience for children.

Drawing on the fantasy concept of Lilliputian country, we have created an occupational experience area. In the Lilliputian scene, children simulate a variety of occupations, not only to harvest the joy, but also to expand the cognition, to realize the integration of fun and education.

To Penglai immortal island this full of fantasy color concept for the inspiration of the origin, naughty fort main building is like Penglai immortal island on the scattered fairy palace pavilion, climbing frame, slide and other facilities into which, as if it is the fairy island in the strange peaks and mysterious channel. Children shuttle between them, just like the little fairy in the fairy island between the clouds, explore the wonders.
