In the 21st century, many science fiction novels and movies vividly depict the surreal world of the future with their extraordinary imagination.

What do we really have left to imagine for the future?

Alternative Aesthetics

Metaphors in Neon 

Is the world of the future necessarily a good place? Not necessarily. High-tech, low-quality-of-life cyberpunk has set off a different aesthetic trend with its “high-contrast” imagery.

The future world outlined by cyberpunk culture is often a disturbing anti-utopia. There, the government and large corporations are like giant palms, tightly controlling society, and individual freedom is ruthlessly suppressed. This worldview is not only a deep concern about technological alienation and centralized rule, but also a profound metaphor and sharp critique of real social problems.

The darkness is filled with flashing neon lights, cold metal and intricate cityscapes, yet the streets are filled with dirt and chaos. This aesthetic, while giving a distinct visual identity to cyberpunk culture, creates a cold and beautiful atmosphere. In this atmosphere, it is as if we can feel the fierce conflict between technology and humanity, a helplessness and a struggle.

But in the world of cyberpunk, individuals are often brave rebels. They may be mysterious hackers, traveling through virtual worlds and fighting for freedom.

They may be adventurous smugglers, searching for hope in dark corners; or they may be ruthless mercenaries, defending their beliefs with strength. They are the marginalized people in the society, yet they are also the warriors who pursue freedom and self-realization.

This spirit of rebellion is the dissatisfaction with the existing social order, but also the strong desire for individual autonomy. The resilience and unyielding nature of human nature, even in the darkest future, there is a touch of hope in the light shining, and this is one of the reasons why cyberpunk is “fascinating”.

Arcade Design

A Punk World of Future City-States

The arcade is a place of entertainment for all ages, and its decoration is divided into two styles: bright field and dark field. Nowadays, the dark field has become the first choice of arcade decoration with its mysterious atmosphere. Among the many styles, it is the punk style that fits best.

In the world of cyberpunk, even in the neon environment, it is the rebellious spirit of human beings that shines the brightest, symbolizing the freedom and self-realization of human beings. In order to sublimate the spirit of mankind, the designers have integrated the future city-state with the punk world in the design of the Putian Stan's City arcade project.

The city-state emphasizes social solidarity and civic identity, and citizens work together to contribute to the prosperity and stability of the city-state. The human participation in self-governance of the city-state culture is used to rewrite the passive situation of human beings in the punk world, i.e., it retains the mysterious beauty of the punk world, and it also sublimates the spirit of human beings.

“The PUTIAN STAN CITY arcade project has several major areas and business combinations, including the Dimension Distribution Center, City State Exchange, Mercenary Arena, Basketball Fire, Fallen Star Arena, and Star Garden Dreams.

The whole space adopts a dark tone, and the neon lights of warm and cold colors are intertwined with each other, forming a brilliant light band in an orderly superposition. Between light and shadow, a mysterious and high-tech cyberpunk atmosphere emerges, which not only enhances the sense of spatial hierarchy, but also stimulates people's mind to think about the unknown punk city while adding fun.

The overall design style will feature modern technological elements, combined with punk-style LED lighting, smart devices and virtual reality technology to create a mesmerizing futuristic sci-fi atmosphere, as if a journey of discovery could begin in the next second.

# Help desk

At the level of design aesthetics, gradient colors breathe dynamic life into a static service desk. Compared to a single color, warm and cool gradient luminous colors attract more attention and become a visual focal point in the space.

With the change of light and the movement of the human eye's perspective, the transition of colors will produce a sense of flow, as if the service desk is a living, breathing art installation. This unique visual effect not only enhances the design and fashion of the entire space, but also psychologically guides the customer's line of sight and path of action, naturally attracting them to the area of the service desk, thus better utilizing the functional hub of the service desk.

“PUTIAN STAN CITY is designed to be a punk city with the flavor of a future city-state. The building is like a towering tower of blocks stacked on top of each other, with antennas that are densely woven as if exploring the mysteries of the universe's airwaves.

Inside the space, geometric elements become creative brushes, the sharpness of triangles, the solemnity of squares and the softness of circles are arranged in an orderly manner according to the law, constructing an extremely tense visual order, and a sense of science fiction erupts, so that everyone can immerse themselves in this video game carnival filled with the charm of futuristic science and technology and the spirit of punk uninhibited.

The ceiling of the main line is spreading in a hierarchical way, seemingly weaving a dreamy net of the future world. The space Frisbee on the top of the columns is like a bright pearl inlaid in the net, which is orderly distributed according to the rules of hierarchical stacking order.
